Here are excerpts from ABS-CBN News' interview with Cedric Lee regarding the Vhong Navarro case:
“There are issues of extortion. Number one, we never extorted any money from him. It’s very clear in my text to him, which he can show to his lawyers or to the law enforcers. The text I said to him is for the damages caused by this incident. Damages to property. Alangan namang ako pa ang magbayad ng mga nawasak na TV at saka lamesa.
“At ‘yung sinasabi niyang robbery, wala rin akong ninakaw sa kanya dahil sinurrender po naming lahat ng gamit niya sa pulis sa harap niya, pati ‘yung kanyang mga sex pills, mga Viagra, lahat sinurrender namin doon.
“’Yung sinasabi niyang illegal detention, ‘di rin naman uubra ‘yun dahil kami mismo ang nag-surrender sa kanya sa pulis. Hindi namin siya kinidnap, siya ang pumunta sa condo ni Deniece.
“Physical injuries, yes, nasaktan namin siya, naupakan namin siya dahil nanlaban siya, eh napilitan kaming gawin ‘yun.”
