Anti-Angry Birds Bill is Hoax
Anti-Angry Birds Bill in the works? Definitely NOT true.
There are rumors in various social networking sites that Congressman Winston “Winnie” Castelo of Quezon City filed House Bill 5379 or the Anti-Angry Birds Bill, prohibiting the monopoly of Angry Birds merchandises.
According to various blog posts, Castelo got the idea for the alleged bill when he went shopping at a mall and saw a lot of Angry Birds products. “Everywhere I looked, ‘Angry Birds’ this, ‘Angry Birds’ that! Where is the product diversity? Shouldn’t the DTI be monitoring this?" the representative supposedly said.
It's interesting to note that it was Rep. Castelo who filed the anti-planking act which has received flak from netizens. But for the Anti-Angry Birds bill, it was Castelo himself who denied the rumors.
"I play the game. That's the favorite of my son. It's a hoax, kuryente," he said.

ReplyDeleteWell, couldn’t we, for a change, just shift to the more appropriate manner of communicating the worldviews we hold dear?
Public officials are not supposed to be too onion-skinned but the whole orgy of negative criticisms, ad hominem attacks, swear words even – just don’t seem to usher well to a people who revere democracy and want to nurture it.
The viral contagion generated by not few social networking sites makes for interesting area of research.
