Akiro Verano - From Heartthrob to Beauty Queen
Akiro Verano, former male child star and co-host in German Moreno's late-night weekend show "Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman", is now a beauty queen!
Akiro Verano transformed from being a singing heartthrob to a transgender beauty queen. He changed his name, by the way, to Zyrene Mae Verano and he is planning to undergo a sex change operation in Thailand next month.
Zyrene, who recently won as Miss Gay Philippines-World 2011, said she's taking hormonal pills to enhance her feminine features.
“Para maging babaing-babae ang boses ko, at ang lambot ng katawan ko, umiinom din po ako ng glutathione para pumuti ako. Babaing-babae na rin po ang hugis ng aking katawan,” he said.
Zyrene also admitted that he got married last July with his boyfriend Abby, a 21-year-old Crimonology student. They are planning to get married again here in the Philippines next year.
