Showtime Sticks to its Rules, Ryan Bang Remains 'Buradong Hurado'
Showtime's episode last Saturday became controversial after one of the judges, Ryan Bang, finally got evicted after 48 weeks. He broke in tears after learning the result and some Showtime hosts also expressed their sadness with what happened.
Dimples Romana, one of the two judges who were safe from elimination, evicted herself and appealed to everyone that Ryan Bang be reinstated as hurado once again.
Yesterday, however, Showtime director Bobet Vidanes said they cannot grant Dimples' appeal.
"Base sa eviction rules ng Showtime, hindi po namin maaaring payagan ang pakiusap ni Dimples na ibalik si Ryan Bang at siya ang pumalit sa kanyang iiwang puwesto... Ngunit ang programa pa rin ang may desisyon kung sino ang huradong ipapalit sa kanya. Samantala, bilang pagkilala sa resulta ng botohan, si Ryan Bang ay mananatiling burado bilang isang hurado."
That's why new judges took the vacated seats on Monday and they are Luis Manzano, Malaysian model-actress Carmen Soo, and two members of the Philippine Volcanoes Rugby Team.
