X Factor Winner Melanie Amaro Wins $5 Million Recording Contract
X Factor final battle is over. Melanie Amaro emerged as the winner taking home the $5 million X Factor prize and Pepsi commercial!
The final three--Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik--performed their first audition songs last night in their bid to take the $5 million prize.
30-year-old rocker Josh Krajcik sang "At Last" (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO), 28-year-old Chris Rene performed his original rap song "Young Homies" (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO), and closing the show was 19-year-old Melanie Amaro belted out Beyonce's "Listen," (CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO).
After Amaro's performance, Simon Cowell declared she deserved to win the $5 million prize and a Pepsi commercial.
"Based on that performance tonight, you should be the winner of the X Factor," he said.
America listened to Simon and voted for Amaro to become the first winner of the US franchise of "The X Factor."
Watch the finale of "The X Factor" tonight, 7pm, on Studio 23 with performances from Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Justin Bieber are set to perform.
