Showtime Names Its 4th Grand Champion
Showtime revealed its fourth grand champion and it's no other than Astig Pinoy of Misamis Oriental!
Astig Pinoy, a modern folk dance group from Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental, emerged as the winner of Showtime's "All-Star Baranggayan: The Finals" for getting a perfect 10 score from the madlang people, from judge Vice Ganda and most of the 29 guest judges. The group was named Showtime fourth grand champion last Saturday, December 10, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal.
Astig Pinoy took home P1 million cash prize and another P1 million for the barangay they represent.
Meanwhile, the UDC dance group from Pasig won as “Madlang People’s Choice” while Barangay Buñao of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City won the best barangay intro. Each recieved P100,000 cash prize.
Other grand finalists who performed during the "Showtime All-Star Baranggayan: The Finals" were Kalumon Performing Ensemble of Davao, Neutron Acrobats of Bulacan, D’ Shots of Caloocan, Kingz Gambit of Cebu, FMD Extreme of Marikina, Spy of Maynila, Pinoy Hiphop of Antipolo, Racing Chat of Sampaloc, Bailes De Luces of Negros Occidental, Buli Kidz Incredible of Batangas, Teatro Ambahanon of QC, and the winners of the wild card round, UDC of Pasig and Prime Machine of Negros Oriental.
The 29 guest judges during the grand finals include Ryan Bang, Jhong Hilario, Dra. Vicky Belo, Dr. Manny Calayan, Joel Cruz, Luis Manzano, Vina Morales, Joey Marquez, Ara Mina, Ina Raymundo, Kiray, and Liz Uy.
The show’s previous grand winners XB Gensan, Laoag City Gymnastics Group, and True Colors joined forces in a stellar opening number.
