World's Oldest Dog Dies in Japan at the Age of 26
World's oldest dog, Pusuke, died at the age of 26.
The world's oldest dog, according to the Guinness World Records, died 1 year young younger when Amy Winehouse died - 26 years old! However in human years, Pusuke's age should be equivalent to 182-years-old!
He is Pusuke and he lived in Sakura, Japan for 26 years and 9 months. He died last Monday, December 5, 2011.
Usually, an average dog live around 8 to 9 years old. Large dogs may live up to 15 years. Pusuke defied the odds and lived 26 years, almost the same lifespan of Grammy Award winning artist Amy Winehouse! This is the feat why he is called "World's Oldest Dog."
Pusuke is a mixed breed owned by 42-year-old Yumiko Shinohara, who told ABC News that Pusuke had been acting and eating normally last week. All of a sudden, he lost his appetite last Monday and had difficulty breating.
"I think Pusuke waited for me to come home," she told ABC News.
