Segunda Mano movie received the highest grade of "A" from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) but it was trumped by the "B" graded "Enteng ng Ina Mo" for the 2nd Best Picture award.
What makes it more intriguing, the Segunda Mano movie, was even bested by "Shake, Rattle and Roll 13" for the 3rd Best Picture award.
The film, which stars Kris Aquino, Angelica Panganiban and Dingdong Dantes, which won Best Actor by the way, revolves around the story of an antique shop owner who falls in love with a rich and successful architect. But terror begins soon after their engagement, when an unknown ghost endangers everyone around Kris Aquino's character.
Aside from "Segunda Mano," the only other movie graded "A" by the Cinema Evaluation Board is "Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story" which bagged 11 awards inlcuding Best Picture during the MMFF Awards Night on Wednesday sweeping the technical categories.
Meanwhile, the Judy Ann Santos-Ryan Agoncillo starrer "My Househusband, Ikaw Na!" got a "B" grade from CEB and won Best Supporting Actress courtesy of Eugene Domingo and the Gender Sensitivity award.
