Tropical Storm Sendong PAGASA Weather Update for Dec. 18, 11:00am
Tropical Storm Sendong, according to the latest bulletin (December 18, 11:00 a.m.) of Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Service Administration or PAGASA, continues to move westward in the west Philippine sea and is expected to exit Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight.
At 10:00 a.m. today, the center of Tropical Storm Sendong was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 230 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City (10.4 °N, 116.8 °E).
It has a maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
Sendong is now moving westward at 24 kph and is expected to be at
470 km West Northwest of Puerto Princesa City outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility tonight.
