Shan Cruz Rivera is a YouTube Sensation for the Wrong Reasons
Shan Cruz Rivera became a YouTube sensation in the last couple of days not because of his talent or special abilities but because he made fun of one foreign customer while on duty as a call center agent.
Call center agent Shan Cruz Rivera recorded himself while talking to a foreign customer on the phone hoping that he would be famous. And he did! Because after he uploaded his video, he became talk of the town and his full name became one of the most-searched in Yahoo! lately.
This is because the video features himself making fun of the customer
by asking ridiculous security questions like "what was your high school mascot," "how many bones do you have," and "what is your favorite food." His fourth question was "what is the biggest bird?" The customer answered "eagle." Rivera said it was "wrong" and gave him the correct answer--"big bird."
His fifth question--"Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar"--made the caller laugh. The customer answered "you." Rivera revealed that the correct answer is "your wife."

Rivera is now considered by netizens as a "disgrace" to the call center industry. Contrary to his dream of becoming famous, he ended up being infamous.
And because many people expressed their dismay to his video, a "Shaun Cruz Rivera" fan page was created on Facebook. It's unknown if Shaun himself created the page but there's a Christmas message posted on its wall accepting the "consequences" the uploaded video might have caused.
MY PRE-CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FOR ALL: i shall face the consequences of these "lousy", "cheap", "papansin", "katangahan", "kabobohan" and [place-your-derogatory-term-of-choice-here] actions. i am after all an adult. and i hope that you people will also do the same---be responsible for the consequences of the choices you make, big or small.
