SM Pampanga Shooting Incident Update: 13-Year-Old Boy Declared 'Brain Dead'
SM Pampanga Shooting Incident Update: 13-year-old boy who shot his alleged 16-year-old boyfriend and himself declared "brain dead."
The 13-year-old boy who shot his alleged 16-year-old boyfriend in the head before shooting himself using a caliber .22 pistol inside SM Pampanga yesterday, September 21, was declared brain dead, according to a radio report today.
The family of the 13-year-old boy, whose identity has been withheld because he is a minor, is now contemplating which organs they can donate before authorizing his doctors to unplug the life support system that has kept him alive.
According to a news report by Bandila last night, this is the second incident that someone carrying a gun/pistol was able to enter inside an SM mall.
The management of SM Pampanga, on the other hand, said they did their job of ensuring safety inside the mall but its metal detector failed to uncover the pistol used by the boy in the shooting.
Here is the official statement of the management of SM regarding the shooting incident in SM City Pampanga on Tuesday:
The SM management deplores the unfortunate incident that happened today at SM City Pampanga and is fully cooperating with the authorities in this regard.
Just before noon, a 13 year old boy shot his alleged 17 year old lover and then himself in front of a restaurant chain at SM City Pampanga. A suicide note was found in the bag of the 13 year old revealed that the incident was a crime of passion and of a personal nature. Both are in the hospital.
According to Colonel Tinio, who is heading the investigation, while security at SM City Pampanga has been constantly vigilant, the small 22 caliber gun used was very difficult to detect as this was so small in size.
SM has also exerted all efforts to help the two victims and both their families are now in the hospital.
We apologize for whatever inconvenience or anxiety we may have caused our customers and wish to let them know that the situation in the mall is back to normal.

i believe,it's 1 of the influences by the movies being shown these days.contemplate also about movie stars who confessed abt their sexual preference.rumors abt relationships of 2 both handsome guys in showbiz.these are big factors that contribute to the fast growing number of young boys who are becoming gays or bisexuals.we should show to these young people that we are accepting gays or bisexuals in our community, but not praising them by giving them advertisements that they are now succesful on their chosen endeavors.
ReplyDeleteas individuals it is easy to blame the media, religion and the goverment for this tragedy. frankly it is very easy to blame any tradegy to a brand or face that we are familiar with. however, we would need to look in all of us if there is something we could have done in order to PREVENT this type of issue. there were several clues not only in FB but also how the victims themselves acted. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE AND STOP IGNORING THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU. All they might need is someone to smile at them and hear their thoughts.
