Shamcey Supsup Arrives in Manila Like a Winner
After more than one month in Brazil for the Miss Universe 2011 pageant, Shamcey Supsup arrives in Manila on Sunday with a ticker-tape victory parade welcoming her in Makati on Monday.
During a brief press conference after arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2, Shamcey Supsup said she was glad to be home.
“I’m glad to be back home after more than a month of being away. I so miss the Philippines. Thank you for being here for welcoming me," the Miss Universe 2011 third runner up said.
A ticker-tape parade in Makati City awaits Shamcey Supsup on Monday because according to Mayor Jejomar Binay Jr., the beauty queen had graduated salutatorian from Makati High School (MHS).
"We are truly proud that Shamcey was a product of a Makati public school. Apparently, the city has not only produced outstanding alumni with scholastic achievements, but has also helped develop a world-class beauty queen," Binay said.
