Philippine Arena to become the world's largest domed arena in 2014
A gigantic indoor dome is about to rise in Bocaue, Bulacan which is set to become the largest in the world.
The dome is called Philippine Arena, a joint project of religious group Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) and Korean builder Hanwha Engineering and Construction Corp. It's located at the 74,000-square-meter area of Ciudad de Victoria project in Bocaue with a budget of $175 million and a seating capacity of around 50,000.
The soon-to-be-biggest dome is expected to be completed within 30 months in time for the INC's 100th founding anniversary in 2014.

The ground breaking ceremony was already held last August 17 at the Ciudad de Victoria and was attended by Hanwha and INC officials.

ReplyDeleteNice project! Is it only the Philippines have plan to build a big dome like this as far as 2014,well if there are no other plans. Around the globe it will be the biggest by 2014?.................that's a good news for the ever growing number of INC population and for the Phil. athletics national team for them to enhance their abilities and talents in their respective fields.................If its already constructed, the sole management should be on the INC,and when the Philippine govn't need this kinda huge venue for big events like international sports championship it should be for rent. The money can be use by the INC in their charities. .........damn Philippine corrupt government, compare the whole INC population to the entire population of the Philippines who are paying their taxes, this religious group can really put a big landmark on earth which is suppose to be done by the gov't.This is possible because INC followers are very honest in terms of their responsibilities and obligations in the church.......I am not saying that the entire gov't is corrupt. Its like an octopus thing...... the head of the octopus is the president( MAYBE not corrupt)......8 tentacles(some r corrupt).....the round sticking part n d tentacles(many are corrupt).......Politics should be a way for politician to reach and to help the people of the mass who are i n need,it is not just a mere job to earn salary every month.......GOD bless INC,GOD bless the Philippines!
