Shamcey Supsup Tops Miss Universe Online Poll
According to a report by Bandila on Friday, Miss Philippines Shamcey Supsup is currently leading in the online poll of Miss Universe 2011.
For the first time in the history of the MISS UNIVERSE® competition, the pageant is incorporating a global fan vote that will fast-track one contestant to the semifinals. That's why the Miss Universe online poll is crucial for the contestants this year because it's an instant semi-final placement.
Bandila reported that according to the Bb. Pilipinas Charities (BPCI), our very own Shamcey Supsup is currently at no. 1 of the official Miss Universe poll followed by the delegates from Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, Indonesia and Mexico.
However, what they showed on screen was the partial results of the People's Choice Voting of the website Missosology.org as follows:
Please take note that the poll results from Missosology is NOT official while the Miss Universe website does not reveal an update (yet) of the actual tally of votes for the global fan vote.
Bandila also featured a partial tally of the online poll being conducted by a Latin American website Telemundo where Shamcey Supsup also ranks 1st followed by Venezuela, Nicaragua, Thailand and Dominican Republic. Again, the poll results from Telemundo is NOT official and whoever ranks first in their poll will not advance to the semi-finals of Miss Universe 2011.
The only way we can do to secure a semi-final slot for Shamcey in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant is to vote for her on the OFFICIAL Miss Univerese website. Here is the link:
The photos of all the contestants will be displayed alphabetically so you need to scroll down to find the "VOTE" button for Miss Philippines.
The vote that you will enter there will count to secure a semi-final slot for Shamcey. You can vote at least once a day and each vote can give Shamcey a maximum of 10 points.
The winner of the global fan vote will be revealed during the coronation night of Miss Universe 2011 on September 12.
