Philippines is No. 1 in the World in Business English Proficiency
The Philippines bested the United States in the world's best country in business English proficiency list.
According to a recent study by GlobalEnglish Corporation, the Philippines is world’s best country in business English proficiency beating Australia, Canada and even the United States of America.
The annual Business English Index (BEI) being conducted by GlobalEnglish measures business English proficiency in the workplace around the world.
For 2012, among 76 represented countries worldwide, only the Philippines attained a score above 7.0, “a BEI level within range of a high proficiency that indicates an ability to take an active role in business discussions and perform relatively complex tasks.”
The company also noted that the Philippines has 50,000 more call center agents than giant country India.
