Kapamilya personalities Bianca Gonzalez, Atom Araullo, and Kim Atienza, together with scientists, scour the country’s mountains and seas for a groundbreaking documentary titled “Sa Dagat at Bundok: The Philippine Biodiversity Expedition” this Sunday (Apr 29) on Studio 23.

Join them as they visit the waters of Taal Lake, dive in Batangas and trek through the lush rainforests of Mt. Banahaw and Angat Watershed Reservation to get the specimens needed to be tested to further analyze the state of biodiversity in the country today.

Shot in full HD, the documentary will travel all the way to San Francisco as the scientists take the specimen they obtained to the California Academy of Sciences, which has the planet’s biggest aquarium. Here the scientists will analyze the sample to come up with their findings.

This expedition will help in finding ways on how to conserve the natural resources of the country, and can aid in finding solutions to global warming and climate change. It will not only benefit the students and the next generation of scientists, but also pave the way for advances in the medical field, agriculture and even commercially valuable products.
