Star Wars 1313 - the new game franchise from the Star Wars Universe has been unleashed!
Star Wars 1313 is the latest game franchise being launched by LucasArts on Spike TV's "Game Trailers" show.
Titled Star Wars 1313, players can dive into the dangerous depths of the criminal underworld. It's an internally-developed third-person action adventure game that will see players take on the role of a bounty hunter navigating a subterranean metropolis Level 1313, beneath the surface of the planet Coruscant. Using an arsenal of exotic weaponry to hunt down marks, the player must also uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy in this third-person cinematic action adventure game. It's a bold new take on the Star Wars galaxy, intended for mature audiences.
According to LucasArts, the game will emphasize fast-paced combat--the game's hero will use human skills and gadgets rather than supernatural Force powers. In addition, the game will feature a combination of cover-based combat, platforming and "playable cinematic gameplay".
LucasArts will reveal more details about Star Wars 1313 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 5 to 7 to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Bad news for those who are hoping for Star Wars: Battlefront III because the original developer Free Radical became Crytek UK after the project was shut down and is now at work on military shooter Homefront 2.
