Kris Aquino and James Yap are single again!
The Makati Regional Trial Court has granted the petition to nullify the marriage of Kris Aquino to basketball star James Yap which was filed by the Queen of All Media last year.In a report by ABS-CBN primetime newscast Bandila, Kris noted that the ground used by the court to officially annul her marriage to Yap is the lack of authority of the officer who solemnized their marriage 5 years ago.
Kris was awarded custody of Baby James who will still bear the last name of his basketball player dad. James, on the other hand, was granted visitation rights.
Kris and James met in February 6, 2005. He proposed to her on May 4, 2005 and got secretly married in May 28, 2005. The two reprised their civil ceremony wedding at Boy Abunda's Quezon City residence on July 10, 2005.
