Slater Young is First Male Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Regular Edition
Slater Young, the Hotshot Engineer of Cebu, emerged as the Big Winner on Day 155 of Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited.
24-year-old Slater Young got an astounding 40.02% of the total number of text votes, making him the first male Big Winner of the regular edition of the country’s most successful reality show. Slater took home P2 million, an appliance showcase, an Asian tour package, an Internet TV, a water-refilling store franchise, and a special appearance in a Kapamilya program in the United States.
Jan Slater Young, born December 19, 1987 works as engineer at his family's construction business. He is the first-born out of four kids and aims to prove his worth.
During the Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited at the Quirino Grandstand on Saturday, March 31, Slater was declared the Big Winner by garnering 40.02% of the total number of text votes.
Slater is the first ever male housemate to emerged big winner in Pinoy Big Brother regular editions following Nene Tamayo in 2005, Beatriz Saw in 2007, and Melisa Cantiveros in 2010.
Right after Slater Young was announced the big winner, the term "Congrats Slater" became no. 1 trending topic on Twitter worldwide while the hash tag #TheBigNight became no. 1 on Twitter Philippines.
The Cebuano heartthrob will take home P2 million cash as part of his prize package.
