Vilma Santos Plays 'Ekstra' to Marian Rivera and Piolo Pascual
Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from the making of the indie film "Ekstra" starring the Star for All Seasons, Vilma Santos, with two of the brightest stars in showbiz today, Piolo Pascual and Marian Rivera.
"Ekstra" (The Bit Player) is Gov. Vilma Santos' first independent film. It's helmed by multi-awarded filmmaker Jeffrey Jeturian, the director of the award-winning films "Pila Balde," "Kubrador," and "Tuhog," and one of the three directors of the top-rating daytime teleserye "Be Careful With My Heart."
In "Ekstra," Ate Vi will portray the life of Loida Malabanan, a "bit player" or a "film double or extra." The film is produced by Quantum Films and written by Zig Dulay, Tonette Jadaone and Jeffrey Jeturian. It's an entry to 2013 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival. It was also submitted to the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival in France.
Aside from Ate Vi, Other cast-members include Ronaline Enriquez, Tart Carlos, Abby Niesta, Marlon Rivera, Vince de Jesus, Cherie Gil, Pilar Pilapil, Richard "Sir Chief" Yap, Eula Valdes, and two superstars from rival networks, Piolo Pascual and Marian Rivera.
