GMA-7's 'Reel Time' Bags Peabody Award
GMA-7, the only Philippine network to bag the prestigious Peabody award, has won another one!
An episode of the GMA Network public affairs series "Reel Time" is among the 39 recipients of the 72nd Annual Peabody Awards, considered among the most prestigious and selective prizes in electronic media by the University of Georgia’s Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The winning episode titled "Salat" (Bone Dry) tackles the plight of malnourished children in the country.
The awarding ceremony will take place at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City on May 20, 2013.
"Reel Time," the Kapuso Network's highest-rating documentary program that features stories that startle, enlighten, and provide viewers with fresh perspectives on social issues that persist in the Philippines, airs every Sunday night at 8:45pm on GMA News TV.
