University of the Philippines Ranks 34th in Best English-Teaching Schools in the World
The University of the Philippines ranked 34th in the Top 50 Best English-teaching schools in the world according to the latest list released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
Ateneo de Manila University also made it in the 2011 World University Rankings at no. 35.
On the other hand, De La Salle University is at no. 51-100 bracket while University of Santo Tomas is at 101-150 bracket.
Topping the list is Harvard University of the United States followed by two schools from the UK, University of Oxford at no. 2 and University of Cambridge at no. 3.
National University of Singapore (NUS) is the highest-ranking Asian school in the 2011 list at no. 16 followed by Peking University in China at no. 19 and the Univeristy of Tokyo in Japan at no. 20.
