Two Pinays make it to Australian dance show

Australians and Filipinos alike are glued to their television sets on Sunday and Monday nights, watching the popular Australian version of the TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance", ABS-CBN Australia News Bureau reported.

This week- the show just got more exciting after Filipino Australians Demi Sorono and Rhiannon Villareal made it to the Top Ten.

"Oh they’re so incredible its so difficult seeing what they can do, that I wish I could do it .I hope maybe when I’m older or now that I could learn something like that," Arvin Acosta, a Filipino-Australian teen in Sydney and a fan of the show, said.

A third Filipino, JD de Carteret, made it to the top twelve and his Pinoy fans watched in silence Monday night as the show’s judges decided it was time for him to go home.

"It seems like he just slipped during the show that night so he was eliminated. He didn’t really perform as well as his opponents so it was frustrating," one of JD’s fans said.

Hundreds of Australians from across all states auditioned to be part of the show so its no small feat for the two Filipino Australians to make it to the top ten.

And to Pinoy fans, t doesn't matter if Demi and Rhiannon win or lose. They've already shown Australia they've got talent and given have given their countrymen a reason to feel proud.
