Oscar Winners 2013: 'Life of Pi' Wins 4 Oscar Awards, 'Argo' Bags Best Picture
Oscar Winners 2013: "Life of Pi" leads this year's Academy Awards with 4 Oscars including Best Director for Ang Lee (his second). But the Best Picture plum went to Ben Affleck's "Argo." The historical thriller went home with 2 more Oscars: Best Adapted Screenplay and Achievement in Film Editing.
Aside from Best Director, "Life of Pi" also won Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.
As expected, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for "Lincoln." The Steven Spielberg-helmed movie led this year's Pre-Oscars with 12 nominations but only ended up wining two, the other one was Achievement in Production Direction.
Jennifer Lawrence of "Silver Linings Playbook" bested Jessica Chastain of "Zero Dark Thirty" for Best Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role.
The Best Supporting Actor trophy went to Christoph Waltz of "Django Unchained" while the Best Supporting Actress was bagged by Anne Hathaway for her performance in "Les Miserables" as expected.
