Rihanna's 'We Found Love' is Her Longest-Leading Song on Billboard Hot 100
Rihanna's latest song--"We Found Love"--broke the record of her previous hits like 2007's "Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z, and last year's "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Eminem for being at no. 1 of Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.
The song had been tied with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep"--the no. 1 song of 2011--for the chart's longest lead by an artist.
Ke$ha, on the other hand, holds the record for the longest stay on top of Billboard's Hot 100 with her song "TiK ToK" spending there for 9 consecutive weeks in 2010.
Earlier, Rihanna was named by Nielsen SoundScan as the Top 10 Selling Digital Artists of All Time for selling 47.5 million digital downloads from July 4, 2004 to January 1, 2012 off her 6 albums during the said period.
Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Kanye West, and Britney Spears complete the top 10 (in order).
