Clint Jun Gamboa sings 'Superstition' on the American Idol Top 24
Clint Jun Gamboa received rave reviews from the judges with his rendition of "Superstition" on American Idol Top 12 Boys performance night.
There is a myth that the first contestant to perform during the semi-finals is always in danger of elimination. Actually, it happened several times before and logically, it's true. It's because the televiewers have to watch all the 12 contestants perform in the duration of the show which lasts for an hour or two. And of course, the viewers have the tendency to remember those who performed in the latter part and forget those who performed in the earlier part, specially the very first contestant. Unless, of course, if the contestant made an impact with his/her performance that will make the voters remember him/her .
Fil-Am Karaoke singer Clint Jun Gamboa was the first contestant to perform and if we are going to be "superstitious" about what I've said earlier, he could be in danger of elimination this Friday.
I think his performance was very good and I hope it's enough to get him through to the next round.
Steven Tyler said "Beautiful! Beautiful! That was brilliant."
Jennifer Lopez said "It was good. Now that we got that nervousness out, I expect a lot."
Randy Jackson said "There’s no karaoke singer in the world whose got that kind of vocal talent."
