Megan Young, Early Favorite to Win Miss World 2013
Survey says Philippine bet Megan Young is among the pre-pageant favorites to win Miss World 2013 which is happening in Indonesia.
Pageant website GlobalBeauties.com named Megan Young as one of the 7 pre-pageant favorites to become the next Miss World from a batch of 129 contestants from around the globe. Megan joins candidate from Brazil, USA, Denmark, Ukraine, Spain and Venezuela in the list. Brazil and Philippines are statistically tied in first place. Completing the Top 10 are France, China and Kosovo.
Megan is set to fly to Bali Indonesia this Tuesday for the pre-pageant activities.
As for the official Miss World poll, Megan is currently ranked no. 1 based on votes received from the Miss World app on iOS and Android. Megan (Philippines) is followed by Miss Malaysia Melinder Bhullar (#2), Miss Canada Camille Munro (#3), Miss Samoa Penina Paeu (#4) and Miss Guam Camarin Mendiola (#5).
The winner of the app voting does not guarantee a placement in the semifinals but will get a special award during coronation night.
To vote for Megan, download the Miss World 2013 app from Google Play or Apple iStore. However, the app isn't free, it will cost you $0.99 cents. If you decide to purchase, you'll earn 2 votes for your candidate, though. Proceeds from this app will go to Miss World charities.
The 63rd Miss World pageant is happening on September 28, 2013, at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul and Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
