Vice Ganda publicly apologized to broadcast journalist Jessica Soho over a series of jokes in his concert "I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko sa Araneta" last May 17. Vice Ganda poked fun at Soho's weight by saying if Soho were a bold star in a movie, the scene would have to involve a “gang rape.”
“Ako po talaga’y humihingi ng paumanhin. Opo ‘yun po ay isang biro na maaaring sa inyo ay hindi magandang biro. At kung hindi magandang biro ‘yun at nasaktan ko po kayo talaga, humihingi ako ng paumanhin, patawad po. At ipinapangako ko po sa inyo, hindi na kayo magiging kasama magpakailanman sa anumang tema ng pagtatanghal ko.”
