Blind Pinay Katchry Jewel Golbin Gets Standing Ovation on ‘France Got Talent’

Blind Pinay singer Katchry Jewel Golbin made the judges of “France Got Talent” (La France a un Incroyable Talent) cry after her heartfelt rendition of Les Miserables’ “I Dreamed A Dream” on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.

Also known as Alienette Coldfire, the young Pinay received rave reviews from the panel describing her performance as “angelic” and “emotional.”

She got four yeses from the judges and will move forward to the talent show’s semi-finals.

Eight years ago, it can be remembered that Katchry auditioned on GMA Network’s “Pinoy Idol” but failed to make the Top 12. One of the show’s judges that time was Ogie Alcasid. The songwriter revealed that Katchry was invited to audition for France Got Talent two years ago but was not granted a VISA. Ogie and wife Regine sought the help of Solenn Heussaff and her father and after a few days, the blind singer was granted one.
