'AlDub' Makes Eat Bulaga the Most Tweeted TV Program in the World with Record 12.1 Million Tweets

AlDub Nation made an amazing feat on Saturday, September 19, as they doubled last week’s Twitter record of the phenomenal #KalyeSerye of Eat Bulaga! The Kapuso noontime show now holds the record of most number of tweets by a TV program worldwide with 12.1 million.

Overall, the hashtag #AlDubMostAwaitedDate ranks 4th. FIFA World Cup 2014 still holds first and second spot with the hashtags #BravGer (35.8 million) and #WorldCup (21.6 million), respectively. Holding the third spot is #Ferguson with 16.8 million which pertains to the protests in Ferguson, Missouri, over the police shooting of a teenager.

AlDub also holds the record of Most Tweeted Hashtag in Asia, Most Tweeted Love Team in the World, and Most Trending Topic in the Philippines and Asia.
