Pinoy Power Wins Flippest Blog Award
In the recently concluded Philippine Blog Awards 2008, Pinoy Power received a special recognition called the "Flippest Blog Award" from one of the sponsors "Flippish.com."
You're probably thinking that "Flippish" came from the word "flip" which means crazy. Although we are indeed "crazy" about being Pinoy, Flippish is a coined term for anything that has Filipino flavor in it. So it was derived from the word "Filipino" and apparently, Pinoy Power inspired our friends from Flippish.com to create a website that features anything about the Philippines or Filipinos through videos and blogs/featured articles.
Although Pinoy Power lost to the very deserving Gibbs Cadiz in the Best Blog - Culture and Arts Category (I thought Gibbs and the fabcasters will also win in the podcast category), good thing there's a sponsor who recognized our site's purpose.
