Karen Investigates Causes of Flooding in 'Krusada'

Due to their proximity to Pampanga River, floods are a natural occurrence in some towns in Bulacan and Pampanga. However, the heavy flooding brought by typhoons Pedring and Quiel in some towns last September and early October was unforeseen.



Tonight (October 20) in “Krusada,” Karen Davila will explain how anthropogenic activities such as irresponsible garbage disposal and deforestation led to the overflowing of rivers, which caused extremely high flood water levels in these areas.

Karen will also survey the country's waterways system and consult with an expert on how fishponds and deep wells contribute to the problem of flooding.
